My husband and I just decided we want to start trying to have a baby. We plan on trying in April. I recently purchased some Prenatal vitamens to go ahead and start taking them so I can get the nutrients that I need.

I am also on birth control (nuva ring) and am suppose to insert a new one on Sunday, but have decided to not put a new one in so that I can get my cycle regulated.

Anyone out there already taking prenatal vitamens??

    Hi, welcome. Most of us, if not all, are definitely taking prenatals already. Good for you for taking that first step.

    I would also pick up a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility- it's a great book and will teach lots of TTC and your cycles, etc. Also, I recommend charting with Fertility Friend (you can click the ticker in my siggy to link there)

    Take a look at the link for newbies at the top of the board's page, and lurk around a bit- you will learn lots from these women!

    Yep I started prenatal vitamins 1 year before starting to try. Especially if you are going off of BC, just in case you do get pregnant before you plan to start trying.

    Yes. ?I stopped birth control and started prenatals so that we could start trying as soon as we were married in October.

    5/17/11 SA- count 38 mil, low motility, traces of white blood cells (2 weeks antibiotics)
    6/16/11 SA- count 23 mil, low motility, referred to urologist
    dx varicocele

    6/27/11 SA- count 101 mil, 36% motility, 5% morphology

    Def stop birth control now.  It can take your system up to a year to regulate.  I suggest temping too and using Fertility Friend.  You learn a lot about your cycle.  GL, hope your stay is short.
