I make a lot of soup but they're always tomato/broth based- I don't think I've ever made a milk based soup in my life.
Anyhow, I have 1/2 gallon of whole milk that needs to be used ASAP (unopened, used by date was yesterday.) Thought maybe I'd make some sort of potato soup or broccoli cheese soup or something similiar for dinner tonight to use it up but have no idea where to even begin.

My favorites are knoeple soup, potato soup, corn chowder.
You could make homemade pudding. YUM!
Ha! I just did and it's in the fridge cooling right now. (I actually had 1.5 gallons that needed used- finished off one 1/2 gallon with the pudding, now need to use the other 1/2 gallon in a soup for dinner.)
