The kids got this for Christmas. What a freakin mess this stuff is!!!!! I have them doing it on a playmat in my living room--thank God! Its everywhere! I will go back to playdoh, atleast that was an easier clean up. This is terrible
I don't know.. I kind of like it better than Play-Doh because it doesn't dry out but I do agree, it is kind of messy. If you have a mat underneath, it is much easier to clean up.
Have to agree with OP- I unknowingly gave this to DS in his stocking and he opened it in our living room on the carpet- now it's completely ground into the carpet. I can't believe our daycare requested this stuff for Christmas!

It should vaccuum up. DD and her two friends ground a TON of it into my dining room carpet. It took a few passes with the vaccuum, but all of it came up. With playdoh, I sometimes have to wait for it to dry, then scrape it out. I was freaked out when I saw how bad the rug is, but every last bit came up.
I agree. It's awful. I'm going to throw it out. My son is almost 3 but he does really well with playdough but it was ALL over the place after just a few minutes. Maybe I should look into getting a mat or something.
Any moon product is banished from my house. At least playdough dries and you can get it off pretty much anything. The moon stuff is obnoxiously bright and leaves a trail when my kids move. It is in the same category as glitter in my life. Forbidden.
Re: Moon Dough :(

Worst toy ever (although I've never tried Moonsand...)
It is worse than the dough. It is the plague of the toy world.
LOL! My boss told me, "If your kids get Moon Sand as a gift? The gift giver must secretly hate you. It's the worst.toy.EVER."
One of my girlfriends said the same thing, she said if you ever really dislike the parents or the kid, give them Moon Dough or Sand as a gift.
