I know that lochia is supposed to go from red to pink to yellow/white, but I am still having intermittent red/pink spotting almost 4 weeks postpartum. I only have any bleeding when I am nursing which makes sense since nursing makes your uterus contract, but it seems like an awfully long time to still be having bleeding. It is very light and not even close to soaking a pad. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?
Married to DH since 6/30/2007 Me: 32 DH: 32 BFP #1: 4/1/2010 DS born: 12/3/10 TTC #2 since 5/2014 BFP # 2 : 6/16/14 EDD: 2/25/15 Missed Miscarriage discovered 7/10/14 D&C 7/17/14 Pathology results normal BFP #3: 10/21/14 EDD: 7/6/15 11/24/14: Saw heartbeat!
My post partum bleeding was really light an then at almost 4 weeks it got really red and period like. It happened one more time after that too. My doctor said it is totally normal. She said that it can last for 6 weeks and now at 5.5 weeks it is just about done.
Same here. I only bled for a few days then completely stopped. Around 2wks pp, I'd have bright red blood when I wiped, but not much more throughout the day.
My bleeding was almost gone a couple days ago, had become brown, totally thought it was on it's way out. Then today, bright red again. LO is 4 weeks tomorrow. I wish it would go away and I guess it's just my body telling me I did too much and to take it easy. Guess I shouldn't have shoveled 2 ft of snow Monday night....I hope it goes away...
