Re: WDYT of Jeremy?

  • Every Jeremy I've known has been an obnoxious dimwit. Also, the "nickname" Germy seems to crop up a lot with that name. Not a fan.

  • The Germy thing is my main reservation about this name, so I would never use it.  My DH feels strongly the same.

  • I actually really like Jeremy.  I think it's an underused, normal boy name.

  • No offense, but not a fan.  Aside from "germy," I also think of the Pearl Jam song over and over.

     I do love Austin though!

  • I absolutely love it! My best friend also has it on her short list.
  • love this name - but somewhat ruined by disturbing Pearl Jam song as mentioned by previous poster

  • I don't love it.  I DO like Austin.
  • I love this name. MY husband vetoed it because of Germy, though.

I would have called him Jem like from TKAM.

  • I like Jeremy a lot.  Classic, but not that common.
  • It's a family name for me, so I like it

  • NOT a fan of Jeremy at alllllll. Much prefer Austin!
  • This is my DH's name! I just asked him what if any names he was called good or bad as a child, he said Jer, J, Remy, Jerry, or Jeremiah! Never ever was he called Germy!!!

I believe this name is starting to come back though, i know of  a few people who have named there boys this in the last few years!
