Trying to Get Pregnant

Signed up for a June sprint triathlon

This past summer I did my first "try a tri" in June and thencompleted a sprint distancetriathlon in august. We decidedto start TTC after the last oneand since then I have stoppedworking out and have gained 15 pounds! I went by the theoryof taking it easy when wantinga baby.Well, 5 months later no luck:(I have decided to sign up for anotherone in June and hopefully takemy mind elsewhere.Anyone else stop working out inthe hopes it will help get you pregnant?

  • Since we were trying for so long and it wasn't working, I decided to take it easy the past few months and I reallllly cut back on my workouts. Obviously, that didn't help! I told myself that if I wasn't pregnant by January 2011 that I was going to run the Pgh Marathon in May 2001, so I guess I better start training!

  • I didn't necessarily stop when TTC, but that's only because I wasn't that great at working out before. I have gained about 8 pounds since our wedding just over a year ago, and every month I keep saying I'm going to start working out and eating better. But then I make excuses because of TTC and not wanting to disrupt anything by suddenly starting a work out routine (because, you know, I will immediately be so intense while working out!) :P  So, yeah, I need to just suck it up and lose the extra poundage.

  • I have gained way too much weight the past few years, so I am starting up running again this week. I want to get into the routine before I am pregnant, so I can continue running.

    TTC #2 
    IUI's #1 - #4 Follistim = BFN's
    IVF #1 w/ ICSI + PGS: Lupron/Follistim/Menopur
    ER 4/13 - 19R, 13F, 4 PGS tested embryos, 1 normal
    5/14 FET: BFP. Beta #1: 123, Beta #2: 327, Beta #3: 854
    Cora arrived 1/23/15 via RCS!
  • I am trying to keep up my exercise routine while TTC. Right now I work out 5-6 times a week. Right now I'm focusing on upping the intensity a bit to help combat the few extra pounds I need to shed. Plus I really love the distraction.
