While we're talking Disney...

Which two parks would you recommend for a 3.5 and 4.5 yo? We're going to Disneyworld in Orlando. Obviously we have to go to Magic Kingdom. DH and I have been to Animal Kingdom, and we remember it being mostly a large zoo. This was about 10 yrs ago, shortly after it opened, so I don't know what changed. Both girls are tall (44 and 46") so they should be able to go on a lot of rides. My DD loves rollercoasters, but I'm not sure about my niece. I've never been to Epcot or Hollywood. Are they better for older kids?

  • The order I like them is Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Disney Studios. Animal Kingdom is a zoo but wayyy more than that now with some great rides and shows.

  • My kids were younger but though AK was just alright, they were not into the shows and are not zoo kids, they do not want to look and only liked the petting area.  We LOVED Magic Kingdom and will do 2 days in May.  We will also do Epcot but DS LOVES globes and maps and will do Hollywood Studios.

  • My girls are 5 and we just went.  If you're only doing 2 parks, I'd do MK and AK.  Only the Safari ride is really a 'zoo'.  My kids loved the petting zoo and DINOLAND USA sections (which has a roller coaster).  The Lion King show was also really good.  We ran out of time and skipped whatever was in Asia.

My kids had no interest in EPCOT.  The future-world stuff was mildly interesting for them, but the buildings were so far apart it took half an hour to go from ride to ride.    World Showcase?  Not interested.  We had to practically drag them around.

Hollywood Studios had shows and characters, but not much in the way of rides.  We were there only a half day.

  • I would choose Magic Kingdom and Epcot.  We also went to Hollywood Studios, and DD did enjoy it, but it is really a half day park.
  • Magic Kingdom obviously... And I would do Hollywood Studios b/c the Toy Story ride is awesome, and they have a lot of good shows for the kids (Little Mermaid, Playhouse Disney, Beauty & Beast stage production). There is pretty good amount of characters there as well...
