Time for a convertible-car seat that is!

So Ty is almost 30 inches long, so I am beginning the quest for a new convertible car seat.  Any recommendations?  The Britax are high on the safety list (Marathon being one I have been looking at).  Experience, advise, places to purchase?  Thanks for any help!

    We ditched our britax marathon in favor of the britax boulevard - it cradles the kids a lot more than the marathons do. We bought two and the cost was NOT pretty....but with two 20% BRU coupons it isn't as bad.

    We plan on getting the Evenflo Triumph in the next few weeks. More reasonably priced than the Britax brand and very cushy for LO.
