Interesting pre-op appt.

My DH and I went to my pre-op appointment today.They just covered what to expect with the lap, etc. I found out he's going to do a hysteroscopy as well just make sure everything looks good with my lining and he said they'll take a sample as well. I asked about cycling after the procedure. My lap is on Thursday and AF is due next Thursday...he said I can cycle if AF shows up later next week (not before) if I feel up to it. He said though that he wants me to try an unmedicated cycle for my next IUI if they find and remove any endo...I suppose I'm OK with that since I ovulate on my own, it just seemed odd to me...anyone ever heard of this?

IUIs 1-3 BFN, lap Dec. 2010, IUIs 4-6 BFN
IVF w/ICSI #1 - ER 2/8: 24R 19M 9F ET 2/13 2-5 day blasts (no frosties) = BFP - b/g twins!

    It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

    We were given the option of a unmedicated IUI back in 2009, since I also O on my own, but we turned it down and went on a 4 month break.

    Good luck with your lap/hyst!!!!

    GL with everything!

    I have never done an unmedicated cycle bc with my first attempt we realized I do not ovulate on my own...so it was a bust.

    I did do an IUI cycle while on clomid a couple of weeks after my lap.

    good luck with the lap! I have a good friend that dealt with IF for 4 years, had a lap, removed endo and got KU her first cycle post lap without IUI...anything is possible!! GOOD LUCK and speedy recovery!!
