Single Parents?

My fiance left me knowing i was pregnant, im almost three months pregnant now and im scared to death to do this all on my own. He told me he was happy and that he was always going to be there to take care of us and yet He kicked me out of our apartment that we had together a week ago to start seeing someone else and because he's trying to get rid of the responsibility of a child. He even went as far to make sure their was no way i can contact him and his family is supporting him in this. Im only going to be 19 when i have my baby, he'll be twenty next month. I know we're both youg but this is a mistake I am more than willing to live out, i already love my baby and i want the best for him or her, im just scared and i would reallyy love any advice..

There are actually quite a few of us single parents here who consider this their home board too-- belle, mominator, myself, expectingnothing, as well as a few others.

The single parents board is a great help, though.

I'm sorry you are in this situation, and all the emotions you are going through are completely normal.

Do you have support from your family and friends?  It's going to be a hard road, but you can do it.  Support will make it much easier.

I was 19 and a single mom when my son was born.  He's about to be 9 years old and my husband just adopted him last week. 

Do you have your family's support?  It will be so much easier for you if you do.  Leave the loser boyfriend behind.  The best thing I ever did was break up with my boyfriend and not try to force him to be a father.  I always believed that a child is better off without any father at all rather than a deadbeat dad.

I'm sorry. I would just focus on you and your baby right now. My mantra is: you can't make someone do something that don't want to do or be someone they don't want to be. Take any help and support you can get from friends, family or any assistance programs you qualify for. Best of luck.
