Mix in a juice tumbler (short glass). Once its done fizzing, fill tumbler up with water. Stir with a spoon and sip. Repeat until mixture is gone. Takes 10-15 minutes. If you need more relief after that try again, increasing the amounts to 1tsp baking soda, 1.5 apple cider vinegar.
It will make you burp, but it always works for me.

If Tums aren't working for you, I would try Zantac. I took the Zantac 150 twice a day when my heartburn was at it's worst and it helped out a TON. I hope you get some relief soon!
mine hasn't been that bad and tums usually makes it better. I know that I've read on-line of safe pills to take, like zantac, but I don't remember which ones they are.
Once the Tums stopped working for me, I started taking Pepcid (well, the fake Walgreen's version of it). Seems to help fairly well...or at least as well as I can expect at 34+ weeks when I have little feet or hands poking me in the stomach.

Re: Heartburn/ Acid Reflux
Here's a trick that always works for me.
1/2 tsp of baking soda
1 tsp of apple cider vinegar
Mix in a juice tumbler (short glass). Once its done fizzing, fill tumbler up with water. Stir with a spoon and sip. Repeat until mixture is gone. Takes 10-15 minutes. If you need more relief after that try again, increasing the amounts to 1tsp baking soda, 1.5 apple cider vinegar.
It will make you burp, but it always works for me.
Thanks ladies! I'm heading out a lunch to pick up some Zantac. I didn't realize you could take it durning pregnancy.
I'm also thinking I should pick up a milkshake while I'm out. Since milk helps heartburn a milkshake should work just as well right?
