Did it! Ordered my doppler!

This morning I got up and my mind is still racing.  I am just so nervous.  After reading the posts again I decided to buy one.  DH is not excited about the idea, but he will get over it.  I told him I want him to hide it and I only get to use it once a week.  Hopefully baby starts moving soon and I will not need it.

At my last appointment my dr found the hb on the doppler in like 10 seconds (I understand that they have better doppler and know what they are doing).  It makes me feel better that I should be able to hear something. 

Now I just have to wait.

After the first time I always found the hb on the Doppler way quicker than my ob or mw. I didn't use mine often but it was so nice for piece of mind. Even if I was worried I knew I *could* use it at any time even if I didn't use it.

I bought this one b/c it was cheap and had good reviews.  I will let you know how it works out, I will be 14+ weeks when I get it so I hope to hear something.

Totally!  Once I found it the first time, I was quicker than my OB & nurses.  It was a sanity-saver for me.  Don't feel guilty about it, relish in the fact that you don't have to go to the Dr.'s office everytime you have a moment of worry   I didn't tell DH everytime I used it, because I didn't want to explain myself.  Good luck!

OMG! So cheap! I really want to get one now too! My OB couldn't find it at my last appt when I was 11w4d. She said it was most likely because I have a tilted back uterus, so since I haven't heard it at the OB yet I might wait to buy one so I don't freak out if I can't find it myself.

How exciting!! I remember agonizing over the choice and the agony was totally unwarranted (for me). $28 for the one we got and it has been worth every penny (sonoline??). Even though I feel him moving now, we still listen to him every now and then just for fun. I love the sound. I make a point of always doing it with DH (who wasn't pro or con getting one - just thought it might cause us more pain and worry than necessary). It's kinda special for us to listen to him together... Hope yours is as much fun as ours has been!

Update:  I was just in Motherhood and they had dopplers there for less than $30.  I don't remember the brand, sorry.  I can't believe that I ordered one this morning, than held one in my had this afternoon    Oh well, mine will be here soon enough
