flat temps during AF

Good Morning, Ladies!

Today is CD 4 and the last three days my thermometer recorder the same exact temp- 97.7 (CD 1 was 97.6). I was not sleep deprived and temped at the same time each morning.  I thought that temps during your period were more likely to be erratic and having the same temp repeatedly may indicate the BBT is inaccurate.

I have used this thermometer (a BD marketed for fertility tracking) for 4 full cycles.  Does this sound like a battery issue, a thermometer issue or something that is not statistically significant? I'm not worried about it skewing this cycle's chart just yet, but I expect my period to end shortly and I know the following temps need to be as accurate as possible.

 Do you think it is it time for a new thermometer?

Mine has been doing the same thing, but on 97.6.  I figured if it was just a couple it would be ok, but I got my 6th one in a row today, so now I'm thinking I might do something about it.  I would love to hear people's responses, too!

I've seen people have flat temps over the course of a few days, so it might not even be an issue.  But have you tried to use the thermometer at a different time of day, like once you're awake and out of bed?  Your temp should change at that point, if not, there is probably an issue with the thermometer.  If it's the battery, I'd think the thermometer would let you know.  Mine had a little symbol in the corner.

This Temp now... see what it says.. maybe your body is just very consistant!

Like others have said, temp during the day or when you get home from work, something like that and see if the temp is different or the same. It should be different. I have had the same thing happen to me and I just record it and then test the BBT later in the day and get a different temp, so most likely your body is just very consistent.
