I'm so scared right now

All this is has just happened.  I'm at home and I get a knock on the door.  The person has the peep hole covered up so I don't answer.  Maybe its all that CSI and Law & Order I watch but my mind goes to the worst and I go grab my cell incase I need to call 911.  So, now I'm holding my cell and a golf club...DHs clubs are right by the door.  Another knock.  Still can't see anything.  I have the patio blinds open and I see BMs van outside only its not parked infront of our apartment its on the complete other side of the complex like she was trying to hide her car.  She knows DH isn't here and he has told her she isn't allowed to come to our home because everytime she did in the past she broke something...the patio door being what was kicked and shattered around Christimas.  I send DH a text message saying she is here and what do I do.  He told me not to open the door.  I go into the bedroom (only room with a lock on the door) I peak out the bedroom window and she is walking to her car.  I come out of the bedroom and sit on the couch and try to calm down.  She drives around to the apartment now and she can see me through the patio door.  She comes up to the patio door and says that I have to let her in and that this past weekend we kept her socks and she is going to search our apartment and take all of SS stuff.  I walk over and shut the blinds and she starts kicking the glass door.  I called 911.  I didn't know what else to do.  When the cops get here she is gone.  I tell them what happened and since there are no witnesses they can't do anything because its her word against mine...I'm so scared she will come back!

insist they document a police report.  send it to your lawyer.  if the cops won't do anything on your word, get your lawyer to call.

Keep all your doors locked. She's looking for an excuse. Do NOT let her in. Call 911 the moment you see her car. BE CAREFUL.

Camera phone.  Start taking pictures of her.  Then immediately send them to your lawyer.

That's just nuts. Glad nothing actually happened other than she gave you a shock. Pop a beer to take the edge off, or at least I would....unless your pregnant b/c I can't see that part of the screen anymore so sorry if you are!

 

Go get a movie. Document that she showed up. Next time grab the camera.

I agree with the other posters.  Do what you can to document next time.  I may be that you need to get a protection order against her.

The cops just left.  I called them back and told them I wanted to have the original officers that were out here to come back.  I made a police report and it does say that I saw here kick my door and that she was acting unstable.  I told them everything and everything is in the police report.

Keep a camera or better yet a video camera. and honestly dont get scared, get firm. If it aggs her on and she is unstable she might break another door but its evidence...if she kicked the door with the bottom of her shoe...you can get a print of the shoe off the door...just ask them to come back. How else would it get there?

 

GL. oh and definately invest in a wine supply...sounds like you need to calm down. I might even buy a taser. JUST IN CASE...lol. You dont want to kill her but definately stop her in her tracks if she ever forces her way through.
