Refusing to sit to eat

DD is refusing to sit anywhere to eat for the past 4-5days. She won't go in her highchair and on Xmas eve we tried a booster and she wouldnt sit in that either. Today she would only sit on DH's lap or in a big chair all by herself. If you go near her highchair, she completely freaks out. Is this just a phase or what? We haven't had a meal together in days because she won't sit and eat. She hasn't been overly interested in food either, but I dont' know where to have her sit now!

Gavin sits on a big chair now by his request.  He won't get in the booster, either.  It makes for a messy meal, but it's the independent phase he's going through.  I'd let her try the big chair...see what happens.  I have a friend here whose little boy will only eat while standing on a stool.  So, that's where he has his dinners!

We put the high chair away a couple months ago.  Just let her sit in the big chair.
