most absorbent diapers like for overnight?

we've always used the huggies overnights ever since Finn was a baby and started leaking over night.  these don't seem to work as well on race horse riley and he is constantly waking up (very very early or middle of the night) soaking wet.  I know that publix used to have a brand of things that were like maxi pads that you could insert into diapers but I know they stopped making those.  soooo, what's next?  He's in the largest size over nights they have.  are the pampers extra protection more absorbent or is there another solution?  dude is too old to keep waking us up!  help!

I think the last resort would be to change him into a fresh diaper before you head to bed provided that doesn't wake him up.  We used to do this for Connor and we even mastered changing his diaper without even changing his sleep position lol. GL

Put a pull up over the diaper? to try to help the leaking.....yeah, I don't knwo if this will work, just making things up over here.
