Hi, this is my first time posting here, I have been lurking and reading for awhile. FI and I have been together for 8 years, we are getting married in May. FI has mentioned several times that we should throw caution to the wind as far as BC was concerned. This was our first month doing so and according to my charts I should have ovulated today the 26th.
My question is, when you know you are going to be ovulating do you have sex at a certain time in the day or just any time that is available. FI had a headache and was not up to doing anything today. This might be TMI but we were able to squeeze in a little private time last last night around 3 am. Does this count for the day of the 26th or should we have done it today to maxamize out optimal fertile time?
Re: New here, intro post
Good morning! Most girls on here chart BBT (basal body temperature) and CM (cervical mucus) on FertilityFriend.com (FF). You can click on my ticker in my siggy to signup for your free account. Charting these fertility signs is really the only way to know if and when you ovulated. I would also recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility.
The best chances of getting pregnant occur within three days before O and the day of O. Anytime of day works well on these days, although personally, MH and I typically BD the morning of O, just because we don't know when the egg will be released (it may be early in the morning!) and we want to be sure to try and "catch" it.
) Just as a side note, the only way I know the O day is coming is because I track several fertility signs on FF. It's common that cycle lengths and O dates change from cycle to cycle, so I highly recommend charting so you can time BD right.
Welcome and GL!!
Ditto.
Sorry I missed answering this part of the question.
