Korra picked this Shirley Temple dress as inspiration for the grain sack fabric for her Kit doll:

The result:

The sides of the collar are even ruffly! (one thing Korra had pointed out as to why she liked that particular dress). Lots of handwork, a blind hem, & French seams, all make up the reason why I cannot see myself making this stuff to sell. I'd have to charge $100+ a dress, just to justify to work, time & effort!
I promised Korra something for her, so that she & Kit can match (again), but I'm not sure what yet. Quite probably a top of some kind.
Re: Major PIP AW Enclosed, Open at Your Own risk:
Miles (6 year old Maine C00n mix), Boots (5 year old Lab mix), Darla (4 year old GSD/Collie mix), Frankie (1.5 year old DSH mix), Peanut (15 months old - 09/11), and Bean (arriving Feb 2013).
So cute!
When you make K's items think about big hems/ability to alter so you don't have to make entire new matching wardrobes every year as K gets bigger.
I'm so glad that she is obviously enjoying the doll!
One step ahead of you
It is lovely that Korra is small for her age & a slow grower
It helps.
