doesn't really eat solids?
I offer her solids twice a day - in the morning and in the early evening and both times I feel like I'm throwing away all the food I make for her.
I started her on the basics at 6 months, but put them away for a while because she literally just gagged through each spoonful. It was awful.
So, I tried again at 7 months with basically the same reaction. I still felt like maybe she wasn't ready, so I put them away again until 8 moths. Since then I have been religiously offering and trying to shove some in her mouth every now and again, but honestly she wants nothing to do with any solids whatsoever.
I've even tried the BLW approach and it worked for about a week, but she lost interest.
Is this somthing I should be worried about? I mean, I would have really liked to be down to 2 or so sessions of BFing at the one-year mark, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.
And at this rate, I'm literally wasting time and money making food for her that I wind up throwing away everyday.
So, what do I do? And is there anyone else out there like this?
Re: So, what do you do when you have a 9 month old who still...
In my bag
d90
50mm f/1.2 * 28-85mm (Macro) f/3.5-4.5 * 70-300mm f/3.5-4.5
Opteka Fisheye Adapter * Lightscoop
I agree to not be worried! After a year is when I would be worried!
I am a little different I guess. I would not try to force it everyday.
My LO doesn't eat that much solids but I just try to go with what he wants.
A friend's girl would not eat anything that was given to her. She had to pick up the food and all. And it was table food. But you said your tried BLW. I would keep at BLW and have her lead. I know my LO took a while to getting used to eating. He is just barely getting into it and I started at 7 months. I am sure she will hopefully show more interest soon!!!
Good luck!
