How long can it take one's body to regulate after BCPs? I stopped at the very end of May, then had 4 consecutive cycles of 24-26 days, and then suddenly a 75 day cycle. My doc said it's from stress, but I'm wondering if it was my body still regulating itself after BCPs. Now I'm on CD22 of what feels like a short cycle (because I feel like AF is on its way any day now) and I have no CHs yet. Is it possible that I'm not ovulating yet because of BCPs, too? Or should I be back to normal by now?
KdgTeacher, I do chart. Feel free to click my siggy and chart stalk! My chart says I haven't O'ed yet.
Hmm, it is very hard to add anything else with one 1 chart that is not complete. Give yourself a few months of charting and see what kind of information you get

Do any of you pay for FF VIP? If so, what do you find most valuable? I've been fine with the free, I think, but don't want to miss anything awesome.
I do, although my chart is on hold since I am not charting. It is ok--it just gives you more to obsess over. If you're doing fine without it then I don't think I'd get it....

For those that temp vaginally, how far do you have to insert the thermometer? I would think it is important to make sure you do it the same every time. I will be switching methods when (if) this cycle ends since I am a mouth breather.
Also, there was a post not too long ago about how provera does not really restart your cycle, it just causes your lining to shed. Anyone know how this affects ovulation?
I know everyone says wait 60 days and call your doctor to get a prescription, but I see women who are on CD 100+ or ovulate on CD 80. Anybody care to share their reasons for waiting? I am coming up on CD 60 and just wondering if I should wait another 30 days before calling the doctor (she has mentioned that I can go that long if I want to).
I guess I had more questions than I thought! TIA.

I work nights at a hospital. I work 3 nights a week, but I keep a normal day schedule the other 4 days. When do I temp if I decide to do so? I have read that it should be at the same time everyday, and it should usually be in the morning, right after you wake up. My schedule is never normal...is temping not for me?

Yeah that would make it tough. Have you read TCOYF? If I remember correctly there's a section in there for people who work swings/inconsistent schedules.

Last cycle I ended up with a 73 day cycle. I O'd on CD59. As I was approaching CD 60 with no O, I thought about calling the Dr. However, I didn't because I had a feeling that I'd end up O'ing right as I called the doctor, and I didn't want to end up "wasting" a cycle with all that time if I was going to O eventually.
Wtf is going on with my O pattern? I know I only have 3 months of charts up, but should it be all over the place?
You are missing too much information in your charts to be able to determine what is going on, and I think FF is having a hard time with it, too. Try to take your temp and chart your CM every day.

Hey KDG!!! Just coming in to say hi to you! Thanks for getting the board moving!
::::Now waiting around for questions:::
SOOOOO jealous!! Enjoy every minute
It can take upwards of a year to regulate. It is ok/normal to have an odd cycle here and there.
Do you chart? That can help you tell if you are ovulating each month.

This is probably a really dumb question....

P.S. DH is a huge Phillies fan, too
