Re: Handmade Gifts

  • I made my grandmama a table runner (and forgot to take a pic first- doh!) and she LOVED it. She collects blue glass and milk glass, so I did a bunch of royal and white fabrics.

I also did recycled crayons (in a square ice cube tray) for a friend's little boy and put them in a small Hobo Sack. I gave it with a big drawing pad and that was a hit.

  • I haven't gotten anything handmade in a while, but this year we did:

for my mom--chocolate balsamic vinegar, honey mustard vinaigrette, and chocolate oatmeal quick bread, in jars since we're too far to have her over for dinner easily. She loved it.

for my sister and MH's brother, we made flavored vodkas. My sister is a class act all her own, but BIL loved them.

And for my niece, we made scented play dough, which was a total and complete hit.

I can post links to stuff for my mom and niece if you want it, but I'm holding a baby right now so it wouldn't be easy to do just 'cause.

  • You can take a look at the check-in in my siggy. Lots of great things have been posted in there. :-)
  • I didn't receive anything handmade this year.  I gave:

double wide felt playhouse for DD and she LOVES it!

doll blanket and pillow for DD and my neice

decorative photo blocks for 4 sets of grandparents

    All very well received.
