Bumbo seat too small?

My DD just got her first Bumbo chair for christmas and her little legs do not fit in the leg areas she is 22lbs and it dosent say anything about a weight limit have any of you ladies run into this problem I would love to keep it but if she dosent fit what should I do? Is there another brand that is  larger?

DS has chubby little legs, and we've had a tough time getting him out of the Bumbo once we manage to get him in.He really doesn't like it anyway, so we haven't used it too much.

Have you looked into Bebe Pods? Same concept.

We got a Bumbo back when DS was 3 months old. His thighs are too fat for it now and he gets stuck whenever we pull him out. I would exchange it for another type of seat....maybe the Bebe Pod like PP suggested.

The seat should come with some sort of warning about chubby babies not fitting!  My son never fit in it and when I did push his chubby legs in, he just cried. 

However, my daughter LOVES it and fits so well in it - but she is a tiny little thing.  So it really just depends on your baby.  There are other alternatives as people mentioned.  I just never used anything with my son and he's no worse for it.

My son is 21lbs and fits in his bebe pod. However, the little tray thing won't go on at all. so we can just use the seat part.

We are borrowing a Bumbo from a friend, and DD2 doesn't seem to like it much. It was great for about a month, but now she can sit on her own (mostly), so she doesn't seem to like the Bumbo. What I found funny is that 4.5 yo DD1 fits just fine in the Bumbo. She seems to like sitting in it better than the baby.

That's hysterical.  My 3 yo son couldn't fit in it when he was 5 months old but today he sat in it and I was shocked to see he fit.  The chub is all gone and he's lean - and fits.  He loved it and stayed in it for 1/2 hour.  Longer than I could get him to do anything else!
