Finally, a PIP of the felted coasters...

...that the kids made for their grandparents.  The white base is BFL roving.  The colors are from the dyed locks of various different animals.  The kids picked out their colors, "fluffed" out the locks, and arranged them on the roving with each child "decorating" one side.  We then placed the artwork into a gallon ziploc, added hot soapy water, let the air out, and rubbed the bag between our hands to agitate/felt the wool.  I rinsed them out, let them dry, cut them into circles, and added the blanket-stitch edging.  It was a super fun project, and has been very well-received thus far.
