I just got the nook last night from my IL's. I'm super excited and trying to explore it and learn. However, my husband has an IPAD and has the Kindle app, and so far it seems way more user friendly, has lots of free books and tons of magazines you can order.
The nook seems to have only 25 magazines to choose from, I don't see any free books and I thought you could borrow books from your local library....However, I'm not seeing that yet.
Any info you can pass along? Is the Kindle better than the Nook?
TIA!

FINALLY!!! After 7 years of infertility!
I got a Kindle yesterday. There are a ton of free books to download. Most of them are classics like Beauty and the Beast and Common Sense. There are a few interesting ones that I've downloaded and seem to be good so far!!
I think what interested me more about the Nook was that it's in color. My Kindle is in black and white and doesn't show the cover of the books in my list, just the title and author. Not a biggie, I guess. I'm really enjoying my Kindle though!
Which Nook do you have? The original or the color? I have the color and I love love love it. If you're on FB their is a great page of nook users who have books to share, they also have info about different libraries you can get a card at that has digital ebook rentals as well as the link to Free Book Fridays.
I'm not sure about the original nook, but with the color I know their is more than 25 magazines also.
