I agree with PP. The materials they are made with are natural therefore higher in price. Take the price of a bum genius aio that's made with microfiber and fleece (15.95) versus a bum genius aio elemental that is made with organic cotton (24.95). There's a price difference there.
With a fitted the whole diaper is constructed with layers of organic cotton and bamboo which is probably why they're priced higher than other diapers. Also, some fitteds are handmade by WAHMs in the US, so labor is probably added into the pricing vs diapers made some other way.

Yup, ditto pps. Synthetic materials that pockets and AIOs are made out of are always much cheaper. Fitteds are higher quality and made out of mostly all natural materials and are therefore, more expensive. They are worth the money, IMO.
