Putting Cmas in perspective

The fire department union and auxiliary adopted a family for Cmas.  I found the lady on Craigslist, asking for diapers and shampoo for her kids because she could barely afford to keep the lights on.  I cried when I talked to her, because I know it took a lot for the mother to put herself out there like that.  I am so thankful that we were able to help her through this particularly hard season and hugely humbled because of the experience.

  • We adopted a family at work and the husband/father of the family asked for razors and a king sized pillow for presents.  It definitely does put things in perspective!
