I had my normal appointment yesterday and Nugget looks great on the u/s. The tech said the cord looked good, but I would like to have heard that from a dr too. I went for the NST and the little snot was so active that his heart rate kept falling off the monitor. I tried finding it, found mine a couple of times, and finally gave up until the tech came back in 20 minutes later. She found the hr again and took what information she had to the dr. During that time, Nugget was kicking and squirming and from what I know his hr looked good. The dr sent me over to l&d to get another nst "just to be cautious with the holidays."
This wasn't my normal dr because she was out this week and I think this dr was nervous because of our past. This is what happened with Aidan and I started to internally freak out. I got hooked up to the monitors but I was laying flat on my back. A few minutes into the test the nurse came in because I was having contractions. I thought it was just Nugget balling up, but she said they were coming every 2 1/2 minutes. So I was given terbutaline to stop them and they swabbed to see if I would go into labor in the next 2 weeks. The terbutaline worked and the test came back negative. So they sent us home.
I'm on even more limited activity, but not dr's ordered bed rest. MH isn't letting me off the couch for the weekend. As scary as this was, it makes me so grateful that we are being monitored so closely. I am a little peeved that we never saw a dr. We only dealt with the tech and the nurses, even though I had a dr appt.
Oh and Nugget handled everything like a champ.
