my DH keeps it at 62 if we're home. I prefer it to be at least 65, but until we have kids in the house I am ok with using blankets while I chill and watch TV if it save a few bucks.
when we're home we keep it at 68-69, at night 65-66, when we leave we keep it at 64.

Our out of nowhere, surprise DD born 5/29/2011
We don't pay for heat ( renters). We keep ours at 70-72 all winter. If it's -35 outside, I want to be comfortable inside at least.

When we're not home or at night, it's 60. When we are home and up it's 68. What's DH Think it should be?

Dh thinks it should NEVER under any circumstances go over 65. I got frustrated and put it on 68 and he FREAKED out.
At night, he puts it on 50 downstairs and 62 upstairs. When I wake up in the morning, the house is absolutely bone chilling.
This morning, I had on flannel pajamas, a hooded sweatshirt over those, a flannel bathrobe, wool socks, and a fleece blanket on my lap and I was FREEZING.
I should not have to be uncomfortable in my own home.
He has been put on notice that this will not be acceptable when the baby arrives.
If we're home all day, not doing much, then I set it at 68-70. If your doors/windows aren't that well sealed, then you may want to set it a few degrees higher to counteract any cold drafts.
We keep it at 61 at night and 65-70 during the day depending on how it feels.

According to FIL who is relatively knowledgable and extraordinarily cheap you should always keep your house at 60 or above to ensure the basement/crawlspace where your pipes are stay warm enough that your pipes don't freeze and burst. (something makes me suspect FIL knows about this from experience)

I use Celsius.. so I had to whip out a calculator for this one.. but I'm happiest when its 72 inside. I get so cold if its any lower..
it's 32 outside on a warm day, but usually around 20 degrees. I dont like it
