Sorry I missed your comment, and sorry about what you are going through with Jason. Wish I could do anything to help you out. You didn't offend me on "printing money", I was just trying to explain the mechanism of how the money thing works. I know there are great physicians out there, talented and caring. I personally know a few including our pediatrician in NJ. If you feel those you are seeing only care about money - can you switch? I do hope you get your answers!
How to choose a physician - my rules
From personal experience, the younger they are, the more they are focused on the money, and the higher the chance they went into medicine for all the wrong reasons. Also, you want too see an MD and not a DO (DO's didn't make it to medical school). Also, if this is an american guy who went to medschool in the caribbeans - it means he didn't get accepted into medschools in this country. You don't want to see them. A foreign MD who went to medschool in their native country could be ok, but they may be focused on the money too much since they may still be struggling. Also, if a patient recommends a doctor it may not mean anything. The doctor could be bad, but, since he chats with his patients for an hour, they think he is great. You want to see the real results of his work. Consistently long wait in the waiting room is not a good sign either.
Of course there are exceptions. GL!
Re: mama.bear
Sorry for the rant in the previous post. Some times I feel like all we do is go the doctor. Lately at the first sign of a cold Jason says, "I'm sorry" as if he's the cause of trouble. Poor kid.
I appreciate your input. You have a very good perspective.
