Preemies

hello ladies

It's been a few weeks since I've posted. While Cameron was with his uncle and cousin, they were in a car accident head on collision with a drunk driver and little Cameron had been in the hospital. Last week, along with the help of our pastor, we decided that it was time to let him go home to Jesus and that it was selfish of us to make him stay. He said something that has stuck in the back of mind ever since..."The last bit of love you can give him is to let him go." We told the doctor that we wanted to let him pass as peacefully as possible. But then Cameron started to breathe on his own and the doctor said that he's only seen this happen once and read about it in textbooks, but Cam's the youngest person he's seen do it. We feel so blessed to have our son back. Joe and I thank God and our now angel niece Taylor.

I just wanted to let everyone know how we're doing. Cameron's now home (as of today) and doing fantastic. Joe can't stop holding him and looking at pictures of Taylor. He said "we owe her everything" and honestly, I feel like we do. Hope everyone is having a joyful holiday season!

Re: hello ladies

  • I'm in tears right now. I just got back from the hospital with my DD and I know the heightened sense of emotions you have when something is wrong with your child too well at this moment.

I can't believe all the emotions you must be going through- what an absolute miracle! LO has proven time and time again that he's a fighter. I'm so sorry for the loss of your niece- she truly must be an angel looking out for him.

Hug your DS especially tight tonight- you're so very lucky and blessed. He must have really great things planned for him!

  • Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry for your losses, and I'm so glad to hear that your Cameron is home with you now. What an incredibly moving story. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
  • I heard about this from some women at church. So glad to hear he's doing alright! Merry Christmas to your family. The first time I heard this it hit home, now that we know how Cameron's doing it makes me want to go hug my nephew and daughter.
