What did you get DH from kids?

Honestly? Nothing. It depends on the year if I do it. It's been raining like the end of the world here all week, 2+ hour commutes to/from work. It just didn't work this year, but I got him some gifts that I hope he loves.

Nothing.  I ask DD if she wanted to get him something, and she didn't.  I am not going to push it.  She just got him something for his birthday.  I didn't really want to buy it, since it was not a great choice, but she insisted.  My DH is pretty certain that DD and DS are not really buying him anything at 1 and 4.  Maybe at 7 and 9.

I got in on a deal from our local outlet (Tanger) where I could buy a $50 gift card for $25 and got one for both DH and I.  Then we each took the kids there shopping and gave them the gift card to buy what they wanted for us (with some direction).  They chose a sweater vest (DH loves them) and a belt (he's been saying he needs one forever) from GAP outlet and a bag of peanut butter pretzels from harry and david for him.

a dvd.  i had to order the blu ray from amazon a few days ago because i couldn't find it in a store.  it is some rock concert with slayer and other metal bands. probably not the daddy gift for everyone, but i know it caught his eye before. 

from the kids i try to get him something for his down daddy time.  the dvd isn't something he'll watch with the kids (yet).  but i've done tickets to a show. my sil does golf gcs and fishing stuff for my brother from the kids.  and yes, really it's from us but i still like the pedicures he gets *from the kids* too.

When I was wrapping his presents I put gloves and the little subscription card for National Geographic together and put the kids' names on that one.  Very random!  Then I told Claire about it.  She had nothing to do with picking it.  haha

We don't do gifts from the kids to each other.  We wait until the giver is old enough to understand the gift giving.  So, this year, DD, at 5, actually made a list and went shopping with my mom for everyone...on a $20 budget, lol.  I know DH is getting shampoo.  I have no clue what my gift is!!  Can't wait to see!

Normally I get nothing, but this year I bought him a Dr. Suess book from DS. Obviously, it's really more for DS, but reading Dr. Suess is a special thing they do together every night that DH is home -- it's their "thing." DH has been complaining that he's sick of all the ones they have, so I bought a new one and will "give" it to him from DS.

I let them pick out their own.  ML got him a plug-in travel mug (she's very obsessed with drink containers) and TB got him a set of nerf guns.

An ugly pair of Star Wars pajama/lounge pants. Kids saw them at the store and just *had* to get them for their daddy. He'll also think they're ugly but will appreciate the sentiment. And even though they're not very attractive, they certainly do seem comfortable so they'll be good for around the house.

The girls 'stuffed' his stocking with Dunkin Donuts coffee, a donut ornament because his thing that he does with DD1 is to take her to 'the donut store', and a Coca Cola t-shirt because he always drinks coke and when they go out to restaurants they both share their daddy's coke.

He's my exH, and I got him framed pictures of the kids from them. They are with him Christmas Eve and morning and I wanted him to have something to open from them.

We had a budget and I went over it before I remembered that he is totally out of colone.  His fall back colone is Dakar (which reminds me of my first love from 1986) so I wanted to check that.
