So at my NST on Monday my OB said I was having lots of regular contractions, but nothing that I could feel. This is normal of course and in time they will increase in intensity. My OB wanted me to come back in for another growth u/s and said she'd check my cervix too.
The growth u/s went just fine. Baby is measuring around 8 1/2 lbs, was doing the practice breathing, moving, fluids were fine etc. When I met with my OB after the u/s she said she was going to just wait to check my cervix Monday after my NST. Then she said my induction is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 6:00 am.
W h a t? All I could manage for a response was, "so, that's the plan you're going with?" As soon as I got in the car panic set in. I don't want to be induced. What if I'm not dilated at all Monday? Is this necessary? I thought heparin wasn't a big deal to reverse. Plus my OB has always said she prefers that her patients go into labor on their own and doesn't typically induce until they get to 41 weeks.
I just left a long list of questions with the phone nurse to relay to my OB. I sure hope I didn't sound like a smug patient questioning her OBs decision.
ETA: OB typically induces patients with APS and doesn't like them to go as far as regular patients. She said we can talk more after my NST and cervix check Monday afternoon. I have a feeling she'll still want me in for an induction even if I haven't progressed on my own. Inductions are actually standard for APS patients, I guess I thought she was more comfortable letting me go longer than she actually was.

My love, it is not smug to insist on clarification from your doctor. Especially when we are talking about inducing labor. If the baby looks good, and you look good, and waiting a little longer won't hurt either of you, there is no reason for the induction if you don't want it.
And if the doctor has a medical reason for wanting to induce, you need to be clued in to that so you can be comfortable with what is going on.
You are not smug. You are a good mommy and you want to make sure this all goes as close to the way you wanted as possible.

She's probably looking to induce b/c of size. If baby is 8 1/2 now, by Tuesday, baby is going to be closer to 9. Give or take, of course.
I'm just curious if she saw something on the NST but she should def keep you in the loop.
Why are you on heparin? She could be concerned about the placenta, but again, you should be kept informed.
