40 week apointment update

I had my hopes up that they'd strip my membranes since they said they would at 40 weeks.

Nope. Apparently no one told me that they follow the recommendation of the American College of OB/Gyns at my practice and won't do it if you are Group B+ which I am.

I burst into tears.

I'm about 3 cms now. Up from either 1 or closed tight depending on who previously examined me.

But it looks like I will not be having a baby for Christmas.

I am going to go back to my wallowing now.

    Ah, they just called with an induction date. Like or not B, you are coming. My induction is 12.29.

    Oh Sona, I'm so sorry they didn't strip your membranes.  Hang in there Hopefully the next few days will go by fast for you.

    That baby is just too comfy in there. But you never know. I've read ladies on here who were at 3 cm, went home, only to deliver that night.

    I'm sorry they didn't strip your membranes. I didn't know they wouldn't do that if your Strep B+. I found out yesterday that I am StrepB + too.

    At least you know your induction date. Maybe you're LO will decide to come early. :::hugs:::

    Sorry your appointment wasn't as productive as you had hoped. Maybe you can entice her out with presents and Christmas cookies...

    My friend went in for a check on Monday and was 3cm. Her baby was born this morning! So maybe you won't have to use that induction date :) Good luck!

    wow! although I know you are ready, I am glad there is a date in sight. we'll see what the babe has in mind!
    m/c#1 07/16/08 (11 weeks), m/c#2 10/10/08 (8 weeks). and then nothing since except every test possible (no answers). IUI#1 and #2: BFNs Super lucky to be buddies with Peetie. Our out of nowhere, surprise DD born 5/29/2011

    Although I know you're bummed you won't get your baby before Christmas, at least you will get your baby before 2011! lol
