Look what I found for Maile

 She was named after the female character in Elvis' movie Blue Hawaii. I grew up watching it with my grandma, and always said it would be my daughter's name. Maile's middle name is my grandma's name. Anyway, I found this the other day and paid $40 for it (and if you know me, you know I'd never pay that much for a barbie). She'll never have anything with her name on it, so it's neat that we have something for her like this. I put it away and will give it to her when she's older. Yeah, and laugh if you want, but I definitely bought my child an Elvis barbie.

That will be a nice sentimental gift someday.

Side note-- how do you pronounce her name?  Just wondering if it is the same as neeser's Malia, or if there is a difference.

Gibs, thanks, I figured I could count on you for a laugh. At least I can tell her I spent $40 on something I'd otherwise never spend money on--I was thinking of her, even if it's hokey.
