MN too nicknamey?

My dad's official name is John, but he goes by Jack in his personal and professional life.  So, we were thinking of using Jack as a mn if it's a boy (we don't have to, just thought it would be nice). 

Do you think Jack is too nicknamey as a mn?  One possible name idea would be Theodore Jack.

i dont think its too nicknamey. so many people are using it as a stand alone name anymore i almost forgot it was originally a nn lol

We almost used Jack as the middle name of DS2, I think it's great.

Jack is popular.  It's pretty common as a regular name and not just a nick name any more.  I like it.  I also like it way better than the more trendy Jackson.
