I know it has been a while since you posted about goat's milk formula but I responded. I had bookmarked the thread but didn't get a chance to write until this morning.
The gist is that Meyenberg really isn't formula. It's just powdered goat's milk with some but not all the necessary additives. In my opinion, it shouldn't be used as a baby's sole form of nutrition if other options are available. I'm ALL about goat's milk and goat's formula but I think you need to buy an actual formula. I do give it to Ds on occasion (when he can't tolerate anything else) because it is very easy to digest and tolerate in general but he is already on a multi-vitamin with iron and folic acid. I'm currently looking into importing a goat's milk infant formula but I don't know if it is going to be cost effective yet. I'm seeing a new infant nutritionist next week and plan on asking about it. I can let you know what she says if you want.
