Pregnant after a Loss

First u/s! (PIP)

I had my first u/s on Monday, and everything went seemingly well! My OB's office does not have an u/s machine, so I had to go to the hospital for mine, and the tech said it would take a day or two for the doctor to look over the scans and get back to me. I did watch the screen the whole time, and I saw him write BPM1__something, and thought "I know what that is- that's a heartbeat, that's good right!", and my heart jumped. After he took all the images, he turned the screen fully to face me and said "So there you go- your first baby picture" and printed it out for me- yeah, I was shaking/welling up. I was so excited I thought I was going to pass out! It looks as though I'm measuring a couple of days ahead now, with an EDD of July 17th. So excited to go home for the holidays and share the image with family. Thanks again for a the support, you ladies rock! I'll probably be a bit MIA for the next week while up in Maine, but I'll try to check in when I can, Happy Holidays all!

  • That's a beautiful picture!  So glad it went well!

Just want to let you know, you may want to edit the picture to take out all of your personal info since it is showing in the ultrasound pictures.  You know - internet crazies and all.
