So, if I take the turkey out for 30 minutes...

and cover it with foil so that I can cook the rest of my stuff in the oven, it will stay warm enough; right?  I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to cook the green bean casserole and the stuffing with the turkey in the oven. Smile  I think I can do the rest outside of the oven.

Re: So, if I take the turkey out for 30 minutes...

  • It should rest for 20-30 min after it's done, anyway. It allows the juices to redistribute, so that they don't all come leaking out when you cut the turkey.

Thank you! I wasn't sure if that was the case with turkey, too.

And Lari, I knew you'd be the one to answer me. Smile

  • Absolutely.  The juices will redistribute and it will still be very warm.
