Progesterone question from PAL board member

Hi ladies! My H & I are TTC again and with the help of progesterone supplements were able to conceive our son after 2 losses.

I have to get the compound made because prometrium gave me hives and I am supposed to start taking at 3DPO until AF/BFP. 

Last cycle I started taking it late around 7 DPO and now I have 9 days of progesterone left that I can use this cycle. It will get me to CD 12 (which I may know by then) if we got PG. HOWEVER, the expiration date is 12/27 and I have enough to take until 1/1.  Here is my question: do you think it would make a huge difference to continue taking 4 days beyond the expiration? It was $50 for 2 weeks of suppositories, so I would not like to waste it if I can.

    I had the compounded ones too because they were cheaper than the other options. I don't think it would be a big deal to take them 4 days after expiration. Maybe ask your Dr. or pharmacist?
