ovulate 24 hours after trigger shot?

I took my ovidrel trigger shot 24 hours ago for my IUI scheduled tomorrow at 9am (36 hours post trigger).  I feel pain on my right side (which is where my one follicle is) so I'm worried that I'm ovulating early.  Is this possible?  Should my husband and I do it tonight in addition to the IUI tomorrow?  He doesn't have a count issue.  Does the egg only last like 12 hours after ovulation?

Generally you ovulate 36-40 hrs after trigger.  They time ERs generally for 36 hrs after trigger because they know you won't have ovulated yet.  I think you will probably be fine.  Good Luck!

My RE told me you can ovulate anywhere from 12-48hrs after shot. I would go ahead and have sex cause you just never know how fast your body does respond.

With a trigger shot, I usually feel O pain for a day or so before I actually ovulate. So you are probably fine. I can tell exactly when I O with clomid & trigger and I know that I once O'd earlier than 36 hours. I think I had already started to surge before the trigger shot though. I would have sex to be on the safe side.
