SIL thought it would be a good idea to bring her sick kids out this weekend and unfortunately I've caught the cold both her kiddos were fighting.
I have a sore throat, my eyes are on fire, can't sleep, have a dry hacking cough, and now I'm starting to lose my voice. What can I take to make me less miserable? I don't think it's anything serious (at least not yet) other than just a really bad cold.
Advice?
Re: Terrible cold....what can I take?
Tea or warm water with honey will help the throat.
Saline nose spray (my fav is hydrosence) a few times a day particularly before bed.
Benedryl is also on my okay list - it will help a bit with the congestion and help you sleep.
Plain tylonol for the aches and pains.

my OB recommended Tylenol Cold and Cough. Word of warning though, get the nightime stuff as well, because the regular stuff really kept me up at night and I don't generally have a problem with that.
Feel better!
