Need your help

I recently became reaquainted with one of my best  friends from highschool via facebook.  Turns out he lives like 3 minutes from me.  To make a long story short he and his wife have had a rough go with trying to have a second child.  She had many miscarriages and a still born baby.  She finally was having what seemed like a healthy pregnancy and then went into labor at 5.5 months and had the baby early.  Their daughter is being released from the NICU tomorrow after 3 months.  I'd like to send them something as a "welcome home" to the baby.  BUT... what should I send?  Flowers?  A gift for the baby?  Any ideas?

How about a gift basket with food and stuff? Meals and food are always welcome when you bring home a new baby. Did they have a baby shower? If not then maybe something personalized for the baby.
