Sure. All I did was season and sear the pork (I think I got the shoulder, but you could use a pork loin too) then I mixed about 1/2 a cup of cider vinegar, 1/2 cup of white vinegar, maybe two Tbsp of brown sugar, about two Tbsp of BBQ sauce, and 1 Tbsp of crushed red pepper in the crock pot. Cooked it on high for about an hour and then low for another four or five hours. I didn't use any liquid smoke, but you could throw a touch in for that smokey flavor.
Of course, I had to make cole slaw for my DH because you can't have a pulled pork sandwich without that on top. But you already knew that
Tell you the truth, I only really make it for him. I would rather have my pork smothered in BBQ sauce. But that's not the North Carolina way, right?
