I know they say back to sleep but DD sleeps so much better on her belly. She's been able to roll to her side since she was born and have always rolled to her side to sleep if I put her on her back. Well I've been letting her sleep on her tummy for naps only and only when I'm next to her (she's on the couch with us now) she also can move her head from side to side. Now I don't let her sleep on her tummy at night unless she's on my chest. Do you really think this is wrong? I know if I ask my pedi what they will say but it's nice that she sleeps better this way. I hate when I'm trying to get her to nap and she keeps waking up and crying because she's tired.

ditto. I started out like you, only letting DS take naps on his belly, and once I saw how well he could move his head, I just caved and let him sleep how he was most comfortable. I tried using bolsters/rolled blankets to position him on his side, but he quickly became unhappy with that, and I felt they were more detrimental than just letting him sleep on his belly. He was also able to move his head and roll over at a very early age.
And, when I was a baby, doctors told moms to put the LOs to sleep on their backs. The chance of SIDS is probably .5% greater or something like that, but we always took every other precaution, and it made for a happier baby and mommy and daddy. I got lots of judgement about it, but oh, well. Oddly enough, the ped's never said a word about it.
