I have a fully-cooked boneless ham that was given to me. I believe it is the kind of ham that a grocery store would slice and sell as lunchmeat at the deli counter.
Would you still cook it the same way as any ham and if so, how is that? I've never made a ham before so I'm clueless and since it's fully cooked it doesn't really need to be heated, but no one eats cold ham with their Christmas dinner. And since it's already fully cooked how do I heat it without drying it out?
Re: Dumb ham question.
I'd put it in a roasting pan (or cake pan) then put pineapple juice with brown sugar around it. cover with foil and bake for a couple hours on low. Because it is so dense it takes a long time to thoroughly heat it.
If you don't want to do the juice/brown sugar, at least put water around it and cover it.
If I am cooking one of those boneless hams, I will either put a glaze on it made of orange juice and brown sugar or I'll cut it up and throw it in scalloped potatoes.
