  • It's the simplest thing ever, but those bacon wrapped smokies are seriously always the most loved app I make.  I have baked them a few hours in advance and kept them warm in the crock pot, and it worked great.

I use whatever jam I have.  I don't use the fresh rasberries.  I usually sprinkle hot pepper flakes on to the jam.  This is always a hit.

  • I block cream cheese

1 jar of pineapple & apricot jam

    1 jar of horseraddish sauce

Mix together and pour over cream cheese.

    Serve with crackers.

Very good!  Sounds weird but yummy!

  • Bacon wrapped chestnuts are always gobbled up and taste good warm or cool. Cut strip of uncooked thick sliced bacon in half, wrap around a water chestnut, secure with toothpick. Cook on baking sheet (375) for 20 minutes or until bacon crisp. Put a glob of BBQ sauce on each one, cook for 5 more minutes. Serve.
