was your ds using a sippy by the time you were trying this? i've let v play with her sippy with just water but she mostly just chews on it..not sure if she'd be more interested with the diluted pear juice... would you put it in a bottle if they weren't sippy-adept yet? something about juice in a bottle is bugging me, though i'm not sure why
Re: bliss - re: juice for constipation
I never had to give DD juice for constipation we up her fruit and I cut back on how often I gave her solids for awhile. (DH has an allergy to stone fruit so we didn't want to give these juices until after a year) We found kiwi and strawberry helped move things along.
However because you can give juice I would do that. I think try the sippy first she might like it with the juice. If that doesn't work put it in her bottle but I would only give it to her when she is sitting up eating solids. If you have to give the bottle keep working with the sippy.
Good Luck
I put juice in a bottle like once for declan. Never caused any problems. He only had bm in the bottle other than that.
You could always do a medicine syringe or dropper.
I like doing juice for constipation if it's really bugging him because it works quickly.
Tales of the Wife
We actually had to give juice for severe constipation early (I think he was 8 weeks), so it was in a bottle. We diluted 50% and it worked really fast. Other than a few times we were battling constipation, he didn't have juice again until he was consistently using a cup.
When he got older, though, and was eating solids, I found the applesauce worked much better and faster for constipation than juice did.
