I was at my sister-in-law's today. Her little 1 year old daughter has breathing problems & has to have breathing treatments.. it's a nebulizer with a mask that's held up to her face and it puts out asthma medicine into the air. I was in the room when it was on, and it didn't have a smell or anything.. I was just wondering if I should be worried to be around that, like if it'd harm my baby, possibly breathing in the medicine?
Re: Being around a nebulizer?
What she is on is probably a nebulizer not a vaporizer and she is most likely on some kind of steroid that helps open up her airways, I am sure you will be fine. My son has to use one on occasion and the doctor has never warned me about being around it
DD takes albuterol through a nebulizer and I was never told I couldn't be in the room with her. In fact, I am the one that gives it to her. I am sure you are fine.
