I went to my Dr appointment today and I had protein in my urine followed by higher blood pressure and was having some headaches. While I was in with the dr I was getting nausea and told her I didn't feel so good. She sent me to L&D. The hooked me up to the monitors and it turned out I was having contractions that I thought were BH. I was having them every 4 to 7 minutes. I am already dilated to 1 cm. FFS was negative. I was also dehydrated and was given 2 bags of fluids along with 2 shots of Terbutaline and a steroid shot in case he comes early. I was also given a antibiotic drip because I tested positive for group B strep. I also found out that I have a bladder infection. I was shocked since I've had them before and had no symptoms this time. The contractions have stopped now and I go back in tomorrow to get another shot. I've been having a long talk with the little man and told him it's not time to come out yet.
Re: I got sent to L&D
I had the exact same thing, at pretty much the exact same gestation. The terbutaline, IV fluid, and bed rest stopped it all.
Now of course, I want her to come, and no dice!

Oh big hugs! I was there with PTL with DD at 32 weeks. They admitted me though. I'm surprised they gave you the steriod shots because I was told they arn't beneficial after 32 weeks 3 days .
But I guess it can't hurt! Something is better than nothing! GL!

I hope he stays put too. I think it was a combination of being dehydrated and having a bladder infection that started the contractions. I hope I don't have any more scares and that next time is the real deal and he's ready.
