Already thinking about LO's 1st Birthday Party? I know it's 6 months away, but the last 6 months went by way too fast! I'm trying to think of some really fun themes, but haven't found anything that I like so far. If you've already thought about it and don't mind sharing, what theme are you going with?

    Nope. I found what I think will be our theme in October. This is what I'm basing it on:

    Sunshine party

    A little background to help this make sense: My youngest sister passed away on July 27th of last year. I got pregnant in August literally at the first window possible. With that BFP, my whole family had a way to look forward while dealing with the loss. When Madeline arrived, it literally was like the sun started shining on the family for the first time in almost a year. So when I saw this party, I just knew that it was the one for her. Plus she's a May baby so it will be seasonally appropriate, too.

    We're probably going to do mickey mouse clubhouse.  He loves MM.  We probaby won't do anything big since we are moving in feb and all of our friends are here at this base.  My mom will be flying out though. :)  Who knows maybe i'll meet some mommies soon after we get there.

    that is perfect for you. It's amazing what babies can do. They seem to bring the joy out of everyone!

    Since his birthday is in June, we're thinking of having it at a local family swimming place. They have picnic tables, barbeque grills, and a beach entrance (ie shallow water for babies to splash in), plus a huge slide, diving boards, and trapeze for older kids. We're thinking of either a luau or sea animals theme.

    Well if we're being honest the first time I thought of it was in July and LO was 3 months old! lol we went to a minior league baseball game and they were raffleing off a free birthday party for 20 people. Then I revisted the idea at 6 months old and now at 8 months old I'm telling DH we really need to think about this and figure out where to have it since our house is small and we can't have it there.

    So I believe we are 99% sure we're doing it either at the local Carousel Musuem or the big carousel in hartford, CT. LO's first "ride" this summer was on a carousel and he LOVED it! So either place we get an area for 2 hours, we bring in the food they do a craft with the kids and unlimited rides on the carousel. I already bought the chocolate mold of carousel horses for favors and I like this cake from wilton https://www.wilton.com/store/images/site_images/301-1335_l.jpg
